NEW CLEANING PROCEDURES
Pitcairlie House are pleased to announce that we have a new cleanliness plan that we will introduce ready for 3rd of July, when the Scottish Government will allow the opening of the Tourism Business in Scotland.
We have introduced additional cleaning measures here at Pitcairlie House to keep both our guests and our staff safe.
Infection prevention for coronavirus depends on a strict hygiene, cleaning and disinfection. The cleaning of all objects and surfaces is required frequently to prevent the transmission of the disease.
Safety of our guests and staff has always been really important for us and so all our rooms in the main house, apartments and cottage will be thoroughly cleaned to ASSC Guidelines, including fogging, which is the spraying of a high-grade disinfectant.
Our disinfecting machine rapidly sprays an Anti-Viral disinfectant solution throughout a room, which clings to surfaces hard or soft, without causing any harm and offers a full covering of disinfectant. We are sure this will become the our new standard or ‘new normal’ for all properties in the future.
We want you to know that we are doing everything we can to welcome you to Pitcairlie House, in a safe and clean environment.
WHEN WILL THE SWIMMING POOL RE-OPEN?
In line with guidance from the Scottish Government, we will re-open the swimming pool and hot tub as part of Phase 4 of lockdown easing. We don’t expect this to happen in time for our first guests and we will update this page as and when we have a better idea of timescale.
When we do re-open the pool, we will put measures in place to ensure strict cleaning regimes are undertaken. It is likely that we will put in place restrictions on numbers to ensure social distancing.
